Location: Windsor, CO Owner: Miner and Miner Architect: Vaught Frye Architects Project Description: This 13,500 sf office building for Miner and Miner Consulting Engineers is a single-level, two-tone brick structure comprised of two "L" shaped wings that are separated by a diagonally oriented gallery with a gable style roof. The wings were constructed of structural brick with flat roofs, and masonry grouting was continuously inspected. A specific feature of this project was the vinyl windows that were selected. This cost saving item provides a spectacular view of the western front-range for Miner and Miner employees. The interior space is comprised of permanent offices surrounding the outer shell, conference rooms, recreational/exercise area, restrooms with showers, and a relaxing break room that is fully equipped for any occasion. The abundance of open space is set apart by cubicles for Miner and Miner staff. This open space allows the owner to adapt to future needs as they arise. One of the main attractions to this building interior is the entrance or gallery area. Upon entering the building, visitors immediately recognize the bright contrasting colors, vaulted ceilings, skylights and welcoming reception area.
