Healthcare
Project: McKee Cancer Center
Location: Loveland, CO
Owner: Banner Health Systems
Architect: Boulder Associates

Project Description:
The McKee Cancer Center was a new $5 million facility for McKee Medical Center and Banner Health Systems.

The exterior consisted of architectural stone and masonry. The new facility now serves as a local center for medical oncology (chemotherapy) and radiation cancer treatment. It provides the most technologically advanced treatment for cancers of all types.  The aesthetic values of the design, materials and landscape were created to provide an environment more conducive to healing terminal-care patients. Some of the innovative processes and technologies include: special shaded "radius" walls and thickened walls at the linear accelerator.

This facility sets a new standard for a national healthcare provider.
